SMART-I is a 20-hour program. The program involves experiential activities in mindfulness including: meditation, emotional awareness and movement. Weekly meetings also include presentations and group discussions. By registering for this class, you are acknowledging the expectation of participation in at home exercises. The SMART class is strictly educational and does not constitute any form of clinical treatment or medical advice. It should not be used as a substitute for medical diagnosis, advice or service.
We encourage you to register with your colleagues to maintain continued support for the practice of mindfulness.

Everyone is required to register on this site.
Attendance at the first class is mandatory.
You must attend the HALF-DAY retreat to earn the certificate of completion and any form of credit. If you miss the course retreat, you can attend a half-day PUBLIC RETREAT to make that up. Please check our calendar for the next public retreat dates.
Course Fees (subsidized by BVSD Health Services):
BVSD Licensed Staff: $95
BVSD Classified Staff: $50
ECE-12 Educators (non BVSD): $175
One BVSD salary credit or instructional seat time. BVSD Licensed Staff and Classified Staff must also register on My Passport ($25 fee for licensed, $0 fee for classified) after the course begins. You MUST register below to participate in the class.
A certificate of completion for 20 hours which may be used for salary credit and re-certification or one graduate credit is available through Colorado State University at an additional cost of $61. Information on registering for CSU will be sent with your welcome letter to the course.
75% back after Class 1; 50% back after Class 2; No refunds after Class 3.
PassageWorks Institute reserves the right to cancel this course if there is insufficient enrollment. We make that decision in the week prior to the start of class. You can help us avoid this situation by encouraging your colleagues to join you in taking the class.
This class is NOT for school administrators who evaluate teachers.
