What we do
- Offer courses and professional development that provide educators with practices and principles for 1) supporting students’ social, emotional, inner life, and academic development 2) sustaining their own authentic and intentional teaching practice 3) fostering positive faculty and school culture.
- Publish written materials and provide presentations for audiences of educators, youth development workers, policy makers, and parents.
- Collaborate with educators, schools, districts and partners to transform classroom and school culture.
- Provide curricular resources for safely supporting students as they undergo the vulnerable and critical transitions into and out of elementary, middle and high school. We also offer a Newcomer Transitions curriculum designed to create a safe forum where recently immigrated students can explore the issues, challenges and gifts associated with coming into a new school and culture.
- Participate in local & national dialogues and initiatives on education.
