PWI School Transitions Program:  Teachers Helping Teachers

Our School Transition Program includes five integrated components designed to support teachers in the classroom and positively impact school culture.

Curriculum-  We offer carefully sequenced, comprehensive social and emotional learning curricula for the transition years into and out of elementary, middle and high school.

Professional Development-  Professional Development begins with our 22 hour Foundation Course training and continues on an as needed basis to support implementation.  See our Customized Professional Development page for more details.

Design Team Approach- Our model is collaborative and necessarily includes the voices and input of the educators who have chosen to implement our model. Design Team Consulting begins when PWI staff meet with the school leadership team (which often includes teachers and counselors as well as administrators) to design the school’s implementation strategy. Consulting with the design team continues throughout implementation.

Consulting-  PassageWorks consults with teams of teachers implementing our curriculum through phone, email and/or on-site visits.  Consulting is designed to practically support and guide teachers through the joys and challenges of implementing a new program. Consulting is a critical part of our “continual improvement model,” in which feedback of teachers, students and administrators is integrated into the overall implementation plan.

Evaluation- Our evaluation kit includes pre and post surveys for teachers and students.  This feedback will inform the customization and refinement of your school’s transition program.
