An event every day that begins at 8:00am, repeating until June 7, 2017
We are delighted to announce the second Annual Summer Mindfulness Retreat for Educators led by PassageWorks Institute facilitators Rona Wilensky, Linda Wallace and Lisa O’Brien.
The retreat will be held at the Shambhala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado from Saturday afternoon June 3, 2017 through Wednesday afternoon, June 7, 2017.
The retreat includes extended periods of silent meditation practice, mindful movement, solitary reflection, time alone in the natural world, and opportunities to share perspectives and experiences with other educators. This program does NOT focus on how to bring mindfulness practices to students.
The pre-requisite for the program is prior experience with mindfulness meditation and participation in a silent retreat (at least half a day).
Once again, the Hemera Foundation is generously providing full scholarships for teachers or staff working full-time in pre-K, grades K-12, or school district settings, or those who are currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Master’s Degree program in Education. Full-time G.E.D. teachers or teachers working in juvenile detention centers are also eligible. Please see below for detailed instructions on how to apply for scholarships and register for the retreat.
The first step is to apply for the Hemera Foundation scholarships:
